Key Challenge: Provide civil site design services for new photovoltaic energy project in Guayama, PR aligned with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Puerto Rico Energy Resiliency Fund (PR-ERF)’s goal of having 100% of renewable energy on the Island by 2050.

Solution Approach: KEPSC worked with LORD Engineering Services, LLC to provide a civil site design that helped maximize the number of photovoltaic panels to be installed, thus increasing power generation.The project was developed in an area designated for farming and required careful evaluation and compliance with environmental and storm water runoff management regulations.
