Key Challenge: KEPSC partnered with Estudios Técnicos Inc. (ETI) to complete the Municipal Transportation Study for the Municipality of Florida, in Puerto Rico. The study is a key requirement for the Municipality’s eligibility to receive funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for transit and other transportation projects.

Solution Approach: KEPSC believes in the opportunities of growth and freedom that mobility provides to users of the surface transportation network. An efficient and reliable public transit system gives access to people to work, entertainment, and services. Our team is proud to have provided the Municipality of Florida a robust assessment of its existing transportation infrastructure and recommendations for its public transit system.

Results: KEPSC provided recommendations for intra-municipal transit routes that will provide mobility and accessibility to residents and visitors of the Municipality of Florida. Additionally, an inter-municipal route was provided to connect the Municipality of Florida with the Municipality of Barceloneta.
