Key Challenge:

Klein Engineering, PSC supported ATCS, PLC in the preparation of SMART SCALE study reports for three locations within VDOT’s Salem District. Work conducted by the KEPSC team included: site visits to document existing traffic and safety conditions, operational analysis for existing and proposed future build conditions, and traffic signal warrants analysis.

The project included different sites with distinctive conditions that required a context-sensitive approach in finding solutions that would enhance safety and traffic operations.

Results: The project was successfully completed and submitted to VDOT. KEPSC is grateful for the opportunity given by ATCS to collaborate in this interesting project.
